Sioux Empire Street of Dreams 2006

The Sioux Empire Street of Dreams is a collection of exclusive new homes all in one location. All of the homes are fully decorated and furnished giving the public an opportunity to see the best and most innovative developments in home design and technology. This year's show was held at Cinnamon Ridge in the Sioux Falls area.

The beautiful home we showcased at this year’s Street of Dreams was our best ever. We are very excited to announce that we won two of the four awards; best overall and best floor plan!

As always, this year’s home incorporated many of the features most loved by our customers.

Perfect for entertaining

For example, the kitchen and adjoining rooms are spacious and open -- perfect for entertaining. Family and guests can easily move around yet find a comfortable corner. The owner will be proud to show off the beautiful birch and maple cabinets, granite counter tops and ceramic tile floor.

Delightful architectural details

This is a home filled with lovely architectural details. The ceilings have received particular attention with curved ceiling in the master bedroom and a barrel vault ceiling in the master bath.

There are also charming door pediments and the use of window stools (or sills) enhances the windows.

A Home Built for Living

This is a home for living. There is a comfortable office and an exercise room. The homeowner can watch a movie with friends and family in the dedicated, sound-proofed media room and enjoy a glass of Rioja from the wine cellar.

And practical considerations have not been forgotten either. The mud-room near the back door has been very popular. As has the main floor laundry located next to the bedrooms.

More than Beautiful

But a home should be more than beautiful. This home is also extremely well built. If a visitor could see through the walls they would see thoughtful construction with safety and longevity in mind. For example, the frame is anchored to the foundation with 2x2 steel plates every 4 feet and the roof truss is attached to the wall with hurricane clips.

The visitor should look for the special flashing system we use under the windows to protect the wood. And check how the foundation walls are waterproofed with a flexible acrylic polymer.

Because of our exceptional construction techniques we can offer a two year warranty as standard.
